Well it’s only a few days till the GD, looking like a fast group of riders lining up this year.

Josh Kato and Lael will obviously be up there. Josh Ibbett on his rookie run but with 2 TCR and and an Italy Divide wins under his belt is no stranger to racing for the win. Kim Raeymaekers has been busy the last few years on Trans Am, Indy PAC and Silk Road and Kai Edel with Trans Am, Indy Pac and a second place finish at Northcape-Tarifa. Both could be contenders although For Kai it will his first off-road ultra. Sofiane is back after a 3rd place finish in 2016 on a cross bike in 16:00:25. Who else to watch? There’s a fair few others with 15 day goals listed on the unofficial spreadsheet

Evan Deutsch (TransAm winner) and Steve Harrigan (TD 4th, Terra Australis winner) are going to be giving it a serious nudge too. Peter Kraft is back for 3rd time, so could be a surprise, as could Stefano Roumaldi who beat JayP in the Italy Divide. Probably deepest field ever lining up this year. Dave Stowe, Janie Hayes (TransAm podium), Geof Blance, Kai Edel ...

Hi there,
I hope people are well!.

Does anyone have any idea how to register with trackleaders for an ITT later on in the season??
It says on the registration form on their website not to use it for the tourdivide.

I'm a total rookie so have no idea and have spent so much time online and coming up zero.

Any help greatfully recieved.

Many thanks.

Go to the trailtracking tab (http://trackleaders.com/trailtracking) on the trackleaders website and follow the directions to register your SPOT.  I did this for the Idaho hotsprings route and it worked great.

It'll pick up.

When Mike Hall made his record run in 2016, he reached Whitefish in 30 hours and Lincoln in (I think) 54 hours...something like that...?  Let's see how the "racers" in the group do...

30 hours to Whitefish. That is insane.

As for the forum being quiet. Most people are over on Facebook these days. It has killed many of the forums where people would hang out. One of which is the mountain tandem forum on MTBR.

Mike Hall made it into Ovando MT around noon on that Sunday.  So I am seeing how Lael meets that.  Or anybody for that matter.

With that being said this is the forum the photos from Ovando will be posted on.  At the request of the riders I might add.  I will go on the FB media sites to announce that fact when they start coming in.

So around 52 hours...give or take...staggeringly fast.  With the snow the riders will face to the south and Koko Claims lurking today, someone is going to simply have to torch that time.  I can't see it happening.  Records or no, it doesn't detract from what the riders will accomplish.

Hal Russell...70 years young!!!

My son Justin Heckman’s dot isn’t showing up on trackleaders.  His wife reports that it is moving on the spot app.  It posted in yesterday on trackleaders.   Is there anything we can do to get it up and running?  Moms tend to worry and want to see that dot moving forward!

Truth there.  No Koko during the Hall administration.  However no snow around here like that year.  Interestingggggg.

Considering Evan deutsch is a super strong rider I wonder why he’s so far back from the leaders?

It is a long race. Those who are at the front now might be half way back tomorrow. I know that I don't have the mental stamina to do what they do. Ten hours on the bike and I'm asking, "Why am I doing this?"

That mental strength is Lael Wilcox's biggest asset.  She can stay on the bike for a LONG time.  Leaders getting ready for Elk Pass now.
