What exactly is “the media crew” that keeps being referred to?

In 2016 Sofiane rode until he fell off (literally). We found him asleep on the track in the Basin at 10am, lying next to his bike....He's gained a heap of experience since then, so I'd say he's got a plan.
Mike Hall slept very little at the start in 16, then had a good kip at High Country lodge on night 4, maybe Sof has that in mind?
Super impressed with Steve H's ride/ strategy so far. Heaps of sleep, fastest moving speed of the front runners. Will he catch Josh Ibbett today?
Hey Brian, where do we see how much sleep time they are getting? I know I used to be able to find it, but I have forgotten what button to click in the tracker! Hope your foot is healing up well.

If you go to each riders individual page it shows up in the data box on the right. It's an approximation as it shows Josh K has had 2.5 hrs, which is clearly not the case from following the race. Worth noting that Steve's moving speed is 11.5 mph, way faster than the other leaders. The foot is giving me a great excuse to be a full-time stalker!! That and the cricket!

Whoa! I hope Evan's dot is just misplaced and he's really not going down I-15 to Butte...

Just curious, what is the route between basin and butte like? I am only familiar with the okder i-15 route. Was never keen on the highway component there....

You follow the highway on a gravel service road for a bit and then a pretty mellow gravel climb over elk park pass. Lots of cows and open meadows.

#TD19 - Several calls today as we hear from Alexandera Houchin and Peter Kraft in Lincoln, then Bonnie Gagnon and @Mike Enfield from Eureka! Sadly Mike is scratching after some stomach issues. http://mtbcast.com/site2/category/td19/

Continuing with today's racers; here are the ones I remember their names at this late hour: 1. On the list his name is Tea Boy. I was immediately suspicious. Then this delightful Brit informed me his real name was Alex but due to his job as a paramedic he can't be identified on social media so goes by the moniker of [cup 'o'] Tea Boy? Hmmmm wondering if I blew it for him by telling you all that. 2. Davy Patterson of Ireland. I don't know where he goes from here cuz I was having way too much fun just talking to him and listening to his stories. 3. Peter Kraft of Florida is a returning veteran. It is always fun to have them bounce into your fly shop and yell your name for a change. Thank you for that Peter! 4. Randall Rieker of Florida wins the best looking shirt in the race. This guys has so much personality. 5. Ryan Simon of Florida did a quick into the market, dash down some food, and rode away.

Last of today's riders. It's after 11 pm here. My eyes are partially closed. I left the name list at the shop. Those are my excuses and I'm sticking to it.
Below are just the photos of the rest of today's group. If you know their name post it. Otherwise I'll try to sort it all out tomorrow. So sorry you guys. I enjoyed talking to you!

The first 2019 Tour Divide rider Sofiane Sehili rolled up to the High Country Lodge near Polaris tonight at about 10:30, just a few minutes behind Mike Hall's 2016 arrival time to our lodge. SS was going to take a short rest and push off for Lima.

404 – Page Not Found
My mistake, I copied from a post on another forum that shortened the URI, this should be correct: https://theradavist.com/2019/06/2019-tour-divide-race-part-1/The guy with the "Bike Mad 4 Madagascar" frame bag is Steven Moatt, he's raising money for the poor in Madagascar. Unfortunately: had a disaster and not even left Banff. I have lost an envelope with over one thousand US dollars in it which was going to take me through to the Mexican border.
