If they can get to the CDT (last spike on elev profile) the single track mud can be way more ridable than the roads.

Yip, for sure. I think once you get past Beaverhead the road gets more stony/rocky and my guess is mud is less of an issue. I know Billy Rice spent forever in there years ago

It seems Steve has not moved in 9.5 hours. That seems a little long. Also he seems to be outside so the spot tracker should show his current position, correct? Maybe an issue with the spot tracker itself!?

Battery issues? Spot issues? Or “Spot issues”? (ie strategy)

Great riding/racing by these two champions either way. Wink

Sounds like poetic licence to me - but who knows what Chris is thinking. Probably “let it be over”!

He is going to have a hot ride to the border.  At least it looks like he will get a cross wind rather than headwind.

I would love to know where Steve actually is.

His dot just reappeared about where we last saw him.

Barring unforeseen circumstances, Chris can cruise on down for the win.

Sure thing, request away!

All the plots should zoom and pan on a computer.  Mousewheel or pinch zoom when 'focus' is on them should do it.  On my Pixel phone they zoom through pinching too.  Maybe drop me an email smorris@topofusion.com with the device/browser you are using.

Sorry, no, we pull scratches off the plot to reduce confusion.  A checkbox to add them back in could be interesting though.

#2 - I built this in a while ago but it didn't gain too much traction.  Since I have to do a little work to find and convert sunset/sunrise times I haven't been adding it to trackers, but I could for longer races like TD.

#1 - It would be a little odd since elevation would be on its side, flipped 90* from what we're used to.  But I agree it could be interesting to see.

My dad suggested this when he would watch me race...
have the 'Race Elapsed Time' somewhere visual on the 'Main Map' tab as well as the 'Leaderboard'.

This years version with the weather overlay is awesome! continually improving for our viewing pleasure. Thanks Scott!

Re: elapsed race time.  Maybe the replay control could toggle/flash between current time and elapsed time.  I remember debating about what to put there a while back.

Chris has ridden a great race from start to (hopefully) his finish shortly. It’s not just luck. He has made some great decisions and pulled some tough miles when others said no mas.

His win Will be very deserved. Toughing it out over sand mountain in the snow and muck where others wouldn’t played a large part.  thumbsup

Was Lael's record an ITT? Wikipedia does not list Lael as a Tour Divide winner:
