Yes, she broke the record twice, first Grand depart, section itt

And once the Race is over, you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't even be sure whether the Race is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the Race, you won't be the same person who rode in. That's what the Race is all about.

Was Lael's record an ITT? Wikipedia does not list Lael as a Tour Divide winner:

Lael went off route in the 2015 grand depart race and was not credited with the win.  Quite randomly I exchanged brief words with her at the Clark Store during her follow-up ITT that August, though I had no clue who she was at the time.

That makes her the 2015 female winner.  The Rules make it quite clear that ITTs count in the GC for the year.  Wikipedia is user-driven, so not necessarily correct all the time.  From the tourdivide.org rules:

Who: Any determined cyclist may challenge the Great Divide Route at any time, in either direction, to qualify for the Tour Divide (TD) General Classification (GC).

When:  All summer long...however, an informal common start date known as the 'grand depart' traditionally kicks off the season 2nd week of June from both termini.

Steve H reported yesterday 30kms from town (Pie Town??) that he had trouble with his knee locking up. Probably the reason for the extended break last night. Looks like he's toughing it out to the finish.

As far as I can tell, that just lists the best times--not a list of past winners by year.

Good job Chris S!!!  What a ride!  Super enjoyable seeing an Arizonan throw down with the tenacity you displayed over the last couple of weeks.  Enjoy some rest and calories.  Way to go!!!

A quick question - is mtbcast.com down? I've not been able to reach it for a few days now. Just tried "ping mtbcast.com" and the requests timeout. BangHead

Yep. That link doesn't work for me. I suspect it's a DNS problem with my provider. It all went pear shaped about five days ago. Every other site is fine - I've been listening to the chat with Sofiane Sehili on bikes or death for example.
