Good to see Pete Basinger back on route. Any word on Ashley Carelock? She was up on Richmond Peak this morning, then backtracked.

Yip Ashely posted to IG that she was getting dangerously cold heading up Richmond Peak in deep (new) snow, so decided to backtrack to Holland Lake Lodge and a warm bed

Alex Minge should have a good story to tell. Appears to go off route near Butts Cabin eventually ending up in Glacier Park and getting a heli rescue to Whitefish. His ping that he's ok is from the vicinity of the hospital.
I believe that is 3 heli rescues for this year's event.

I don't see a toggle or function for miles/KM, try emailing info@trackleaders.com

Just a note that the section of the route north of whitefish lake is currently gated and marked closed- i talked to some bikers coming out this evening and it sounds totally passable, just some downed trees and mudslides. The landowner is MT DNRC and I don't believe that there will be any issues for Bikers going around any closures, Its always closed in early spring and was closed for months after a bad windstorm in 2020 but i have never heard of issues for human powered going around closures

I'm amazed we didn't have more damage or impact locally, the sTahl peak snotel shows about 10.5 inches of additional SWE over 3+ days Of course that's sitting there waiting to come downhill

Emergency services in Fernie is seeking donations to help recover the costs of rescuing TD riders. Here is the link: https://ferniesar.ca/donate/I have a sick feeling the whip is about to come down on the TD. With earlier fire seasons and rescues it is only a matter of time before some desk jockey in the District of Criminals or their Canadian counterparts starts making noise about us. We really need to be good citizens and minimize the negative impact on the small communities we pass through. I have met many wonderful and helpful people on the parts of the route I rode. So maybe it is time to give back a little, top off your Karma.

Just made a donation to Fernie SAR, thanks for the link.
Thanks for the update on Josh, I nearly quit at Lava Mountain Lodge in '13 with bad knees. After figuring out my seat post had settled about 2" I was able to finish after a long rest in one of their cabins and lots of ibuprofen.
Anyone know what happened to Nate Ginzton. Tracker Leaders shows him as Scratched.
Thanks, Tom

She reported on IG that she?s feeling sick with GI distress and an eye problem. It appears she?s laying low seeing if she can start feeling better and get going again.
