Does anyone in the Front Range rent Spot units for short periods? I'm an old luddite who is content to use compass and map on most adventures and don't want to purchase one for a single event.

Trackleaders.com will have SPOTs available to rent for the period of the race. There will be a web sign up sheet as the event gets closer, so stay tuned.

Were starting from Durango. I didn't see a signup posted on trackleaders yet for SPOT rentals. Want to make sure I have one. What kind of plan exists for getting SPOT's to those doing the CTR in reverse?

We should have the details on SPOTs and tracking posted soon.
One option to pick up SPOTs will be to pick them up in Salida (where I am this summer) on the way to/from Durango. I'll be mailing some to Stefan for the traditional start in Denver, but maybe Salida will work for reverse riders.

Hi Scott, This is Tom Sap, I just finished the tour divide race and I wonder where I need to send the rented spot back to? I might actually drive through Salida on the way to Denver so dropping it off might be an option too. But as others are/were wondering too, where do we send them back too? Btw, thank you for the rental, I had zero problems with the unit and it was money well spend. Good service!

Hey Tom, If you want to drop it off in Salida that would be great, but it would have to be tomorrow (weds) since I am heading out of town after that. Hit me with an email: smorris@topofusion.comOtherwise we're going to send out an email to all TD renters with return instructions. Glad it worked well for you and congrats on the finish!
