Alright TD'ers, the 2011's GPX file is available: http://topofusion.com/divide/gps.phpIncluded changes from 2010: * Short reroute for better service access in Rawlins; part of GDMBR main route * Short reroute north of Del Norte due to airport expansion, part of GDMBR main route * Gold Dust singletrack descent off Boreas Pass - non-ACA (not on maps) but required for Southbound (only) TD * CDT singletrack route north of Silver City - This is an ACA alternate on the maps, and is required for TD There will be a (Canada/NW Montana) "snow detours" GPX for TD, as well. If, and when the time comes to consider these detours, they will only be 'suggested detours', i.e. legal but not required. More details on that when it is available. Questions?

Doh, I just finished correcting my own gpx track with the changes for this year, now to compare and see what I might have missed Thanks Scott. edit: I had everything apart from the Rawlins re-route, must have missed it as I vaguely recall reading about it.

Can anyone suggest a source for topo maps for the Canadian sections? I've gotten my maps for all the U.S. sections from gpsfiledepot.com, but they don't appear to have any applicable Canadian maps.
Apologies if this has already been addressed somewhere else on these forums.

Thanks for the steer towards Ibycus - but 1.8 GB! I'm in New Zealand on a 3 GB/month data limit. Can anyone share the few sections of interest? E-m me offline if you like - chris@lpcb.org.

Thanks Scott! Questions: - Are there separate files for SoBo and NoBo, or is it the same file? - If the latter and I'm NoBo, do I need to do anything special to have the route work in reverse without the GPS beeping every 5 minutes that I'm off track or something? - I don't know if you or someone else did those tutorials, but they do not include the Garmin 62s. Which tutorial would I use that would be the closest? Thanks in advance.

Ok so I got the gpx files uploaded, now I don't undserstand if the flathead route changes, do I have to upload again, or add on? maybe just use cues/maps since it seems straight forward?

I think i posted this in the wrong spot....
Is the only way to get the 2011 Tour Divide route gpx into the Garmin ETrex Venture to bring these into Topofusion and break into 20 groups?
Thanks!

I believe the flathead route is very simple -- it is mostly just the highway. Maps should be straighforward. We will release a new GPX if the 'snow detours' are needed, but you probably won't need to upload it.

If you get the latest google earth (may need to update) it can load GPX files directly, so that should be all you need.

That's the easiest way. I think you can accomplish the same with mapsource, but it's not as straighforward.

Which tutorial would I use that would be the closest? There's no separate NoBo file. You'll have to figure out the differences... I think the main one is just that you don't have to take the Gold Dust singletrack... main route is easy there, just stay on the road. If you just upload the track and display it on the map (don't "navigate" it) you won't need to reverse it. That's how I recommend following it. 62 series will upload just like the Dakota/Oregon. I'll add that to the tutorial page. Thx.

GPX Track Hey, I'm checking my GPX track down. I found a small gap just south of Columbia Falls between elk park and blackmer streets. (Mooring rd) I don't think it is truncated. Anyone else find that? Any way to draw it in? Jeff

If you've somehow got a gap then you've done something to the provided track if that's what you're using. A single track can't have a gap in it, then it's two separate tracks
