James is behind Kent but has made up some ground. As of this morning only around 15 miles difference. Might be the best competition in the race!

I'm 55 and ultra slow.... does that count?  May take me years to do the Tour divide every summer, in sections by state. Too gorgeous, that country, to have to race through it.

Kent's lead is now around 42 miles over James. James seems to fall back then make a big push to catch up. Will that continue?

...and I delayed my start until mid July  sad2

Now am riding from Fernie BC starting next week - will get experience this year, and perhaps do the full route next (if the Canadian section is a go).

Age doesn't matter - but all those years do!

Glen, somewhat over 60

Just when I thought Kent had pulled too far away from James for him to catch up, I look at their trackers and James is now just a few miles back!

Since I turned 60 I am more interested in the "Elders" group

Following is the list I came up with. Anyone know of any others?

NAME                 Age
O'Brien, J.W.   60
McCready, Donald61
Kent Davidson   62
Carter, Glen   M   62
Hodges, James    62
Nahmias, Yair   63
Russell, Hal   M   64
Peschka, Bill   64
Ashton, Rick   66
Hipskind, Larry   72

I believe that James Hodges is the oldest race finisher ever at 61. He is riding again this year for the third time I believe. His time last year was 28:01:44

This thread title is very misleading... I was thinking that The TOUR Divide over 60 crowd meant that you are touring it, over 60 days.

Just thought I would update to your list, Ralph Yukon Krauss is over 60.  He will be finishing in the next couple of days.  He will make it before his 64th B-day late in Aug.

Rick Ashton was 70 when he finished last year at 30d 6hr.  Hal Russell is next, and he's done it 3 times.

Hal is a hoot ! Great guy, enjoyed riding with him in 2015.  thumbsup  [He's a real old guy though...almost a year older than me!]
