I have to say I'm really enjoying the combination of MTBcast, Bikepacking.net forum and the trackleaders.com pages all through the race. Well done and much appreciated for keeping all us at home up to date and "in" the race!

I just posted some audio that I didn't get posted last night. There's some from Eddie at the finish, Dave Muse as he picked up the top three. Rob Roberts in Dalton and this morning on Snake Creek Gap. There's an interview with Karlos as he came into Mulberry Gap and a call in after he crossed Tatum Lead. And Matt Fusco called in early this morning from the finish. Sorry for the delay. I have some audio from when Eddie, Matthew, and Dave got to Mulberry Gap I'll edit later and post.

AH! I need to post that. Stephen broke a pedal and pulled out. He just left here a little while ago. I offered him a pedal but he said he had some flat pedal but needed to get back.

Stephen Huddle here.  Back in Cincy.
I had quite a few issues before the race even started.  It sucked that my pedal broke, but it was at the best place possible(just a short one legged ride to Mullberry).
I had two wrecks, one impalement(ankle), and weak front brakes.
I figured it would be safest to head home after all that, especially given my compressed schedule(back to work Thursday).

Thanks for watching.

Great ride, Stephen! It was good to meet after hearing your voice this year. Hope to see you at the TD start next year.

FYI, Folks: Rob Roberts finishes with 3:12:40!

Karlos Bernart flatted on the other side of Snake Creek and had no more tubes. He called to say he's pulling out then called right back to say he has some tubes and is moving again! Go Karlos!

Nice job, Cricket!

I think Karlos deserves a special medal when he finishes for keeping his chin up!

+1

It was damn near heart breaking hearing his call in saying he was pulling out of the race because of flats, you could hear the dissapointment in his voice.  Then he came back on and said he got some tubes and was continuing on!  I was stoked to hear that lol.

Karlos Bernart called in from the finish! His Spot time was 4:12:30. Way to go, Karlos! Ruth came in right behind him but her Spot time shows 4:12:22. Likely because he signaled after her.

EDIT: Just text'd Karlos. He confirmed Jeff Papenfus finished as well behind Ruth! All riders are in, Folks! TNGA 2010 is done! Great job everyone!  headbang

Every one is off the trail.  Andrew did the final pick up of Ruth and Jeff and they are headed to Rome for food and then back for a good nights sleep.  Congratulation to all who participated in TNGA.  Fantastic job - can't wait to hear more of the post race feedback.  It was our pleasure to get to know many of you along with Dave Muse and Joe Polk.  Thanks for including Mulberry Gap in this adventure!
