Anyone know if the Trans north Georgia group start is happening this year?  Just moved to Georgia and I'm antsy to go do some bikepacking.  If anyone knows of any other ultras or good 24 hour races in Georgia or Alabama let me know I'd like to get out on the bike in my new backyard.

Not sure but I ran into a local NC guy a couple weeks ago training for it and he sounded like it was same plan as usual.

There will be a group start for trans georgia. It is limited to 50 by the FS and there is a wait list. I am on it.  If I don't get on I will probably ITT around the same time or maybe go east bound.  The information is on the tnga facebook page.

If you want to race in circles look up chainbuster racing.  Kenny puts on good events all over GA and in AL.  The 24 hour already happened but there is a night time 12 hour series.

What part of GA are you in?

Trans North Georgia group start is a go as of right now. Search for the facebook page, as all official updates are done through there. They just raised the cap from 50 riders to 70. As of last post of the full list there were 30 or so riders on the wait list. Best of luck to you, I've heard it's not uncommon for many people to drop off the list closer to the start date. If you end up doing the group start, I'll see you there!

Thanks I found the page.  Looks like I'm pretty far down on that wait list.  I'll probably just do it a different weekend.

Welcome to Georgia! Get on the list and hopefully you'll get in. If nothing else come hangout at Mulberry Gap that weekend!
