How old is Deanna Adams? Isn't she quite young? The Divide definitely does not favor youth...

There were a few old stagers in the chasing group / peloton of TD09. I think Blaine was the most senior at 47, a couple more years of experience over me and Alan. It's been said on TD Basics thread but within reason age is no barrier to racing the Divide. Experience (and conditioning) counts for a lot but it's a mental game more than anything.

47? 47 is the oldest GD/TD racer? That makes me feel old...racing age 48 this year. Hmmm any one know when Blaine Nestor's birthday is? Maybe I can smash his record....

Are you referring to the oldest and youngest racers or finishers ? Cause there is a wide margin here .

I think Rick Ashton was 62 last year, but he dropped. I will be 55, so I'm gunning for the "oldest to finish" award this year.

I can't believe Kent Davidson's race went unnoticed. He's 62 and finished under 25 days, beating over 90 racers, most FAR younger than he. For my money, Mike Hall's result was the only one more impressive than Kent's.
