Nice. Are you still using the Sun Shades for your pad? That is what it looks like on the back.

Yeap. I figure it took about three to make me comfortable sleeping in the snow. A little much bulk for me, but still, even if you carried four it's still incredible R-value per ounce. I'm going to continue to experiment with them, but I think ultimately it is probably best to take a DAM or other insulated air mat and just take one of the autoshades for use sitting in the snow, or by the fire or simply for putting down on a bench or standing on while changing.

Awesome looking ride, bud! The Brew Kit speaks to me: I spent years in the army, with one in my webbing every where I went.

Love the pics everyone! keep them coming! Justin, I find it impossible that i haven't said this before in this thread, but you are an inspiration and a hero. The stuff you dream up and do whether it be doing the divide without taking any of the optional routes around the snowed in passes, your attacks on pikes peak and your other peak-bagging endeveours are all an inspiration to me. As a midwesterner I like to believe I get my licks in, but the best I've yet gotten so far are january trips down the blue ridge mountains, occasional romps in the alleghenies, and overnighters in the foothills to the appalachian foot hills in W/SW ohio. I have dozens more new winter riding pics at http://www.flickr.com/photos/mmeiser2/I shall try and post some more of mine as well as cross posting some favorite pics from others in other threads and places which I haunt that cover this topic.

I thought it was time to do a bikepacking trip. Just boarded the Amtrak in KC, headed to St. Louis to start the Lewis and Clark trail. Not sure how far I'll go, but at least getting it started. Riding my Stumpjumper with Salsa bags.
