Getting mixed info from my lbs on lube for the snow bike. What are folks using for chain, bb, cassette, etc.? Locally I won't be out much below 0°F riding. Colder overnight.

Trend setting Alaskan LBS is using "viper lube". No experience with it, but Speedway would probably hve it figured out...Another option is an offering from some NASA guy called "morningstar soup" stays incredibly usable below -40f, even after being "cold-soaked" for a week...though some have had mixed long term results...reportedly issues with internal corrosion, thus the switch to "viper lube"...I hose my cassette, chain and der's down with aerosol "rem lube", a very light silicone disolved in a very light carrier, works great for a couple rides before I need to reapply, though totally not suitable for any other applications, except maybe to lube cables / housing...contact Speedway cycles in Anchorage AK for info on Viper Lube, or google it...I'm also experimenting with a "For Aircraft use only" product I found at work...looks promising...

when I lived in Fairbanks, AK they recommended Lubriplate Mag-1 grease. I think it was made for equipment working on the oil pipeline and is good to very low temps. I've personally used it to -40 in my freehub body and it worked fine.
